**The Tale of Sanu and Raju**

Once upon a time, in a small, peaceful village nestled between lush green hills, lived two children: Sanu and Raju. Sanu was a kind-hearted, hardworking girl who loved helping her parents in the fields. Raju, on the other hand, was a curious boy, always eager to explore new things, but he was often careless with his responsibilities.

One day, while playing near the river, Sanu noticed that the water level was unusually low. She knew that the village depended on this river for drinking water and irrigation. Concerned, Sanu decided to investigate further. Raju, who was nearby, saw her examining the riverbank and asked, "What are you doing, Sanu?"

Sanu replied, "The river seems to be drying up, Raju. We need to find out why; otherwise, our crops and animals will suffer."

Raju shrugged, not taking her concern seriously. "It’s just water. It’ll come back on its own," he said and ran off to play.

But Sanu didn’t give up. She followed the river upstream and discovered that someone had carelessly thrown trash and debris, blocking the flow of water. Realizing the urgency of the situation, she rushed back to the village and gathered the elders to explain what she had found.

The elders praised Sanu’s diligence and quickly organized a group to clear the river’s path. They worked tirelessly, and soon the river flowed freely again, saving the village from a potential crisis.

Raju, witnessing the efforts of the villagers and Sanu’s leadership, felt ashamed of his earlier indifference. He approached Sanu and said, "I’m sorry, Sanu. I should have helped you instead of ignoring the problem."

Sanu smiled and replied, "It’s okay, Raju. We all make mistakes. What matters is that we learn from them and do better next time."

From that day on, Raju became more responsible, and he and Sanu often worked together to protect their village and its natural resources.

Small actions can make a big difference, and caring for our surroundings is everyone’s responsibility. Ignoring problems doesn’t make them go away; facing them with courage and responsibility does.
